To coincide with the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims, Sinn Féin are holding a demonstration this Saturday, 24th March, in Derrylin.

Speaking before the upcoming event Jemma Dolan MLA said; "Sinn Féin continue to call on the British government to release money for legacy inquests and to start the consultation on legacy structures that was agreed during the Stormont House Agreement.

"We must continue put pressure on the British government to live up to their commitments and this event will be one of many held by Sinn Féin next Saturday.

"There are memorials for both Louis Leonard and Jim Murphy on Main Street, Derrylin and that is where we are holding our gathering. Both these men were active in the Civil Rights Movement before being murdered by loyalists.

"With very strong suspicions of involvement by British State Forces in their killings, it is reprehensible that their families have had to wait more than four decades to hear the truth.

"The issue of legacy inquests and the legacy structures should no longer be used as a political football. It is unacceptable that any family should be denied truth when it comes to legacy issues.

"That is why I am calling on the community to come out on Saturday and show solidarity with all families in their campaign for truth and justice."-Ends/Críoch
