Sinn Féin Councillor, Debbie Coyle, welcomed the feedback session at the 'Your Council, Your Say, Your Way' event yesterday and is encouraging people to have their say at a similar event tomorrow.

Speaking following the event, Councillor Coyle said:

"As the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Diversity Champion, I was delighted to facilitate the feedback session at yesterday afternoons event, 'Your Council, Your Say, Your Way'.

"My party colleague and Fermanagh & Omagh District Council Chair, Councillor Thomas O'Reilly, welcomed all of the attendees, most of whom live with a disability.

"Council Officers also presented information on the Councils Leisure Services, Human Resources, Environment and Place, Access to Venues, Finding Opportunities, Community Services and Community Planning.

"Following the presentations I invited those present to share their experiences and thoughts on what they had heard. The feedback provided was very important.

"Over 20% of the population in our council area have long term health problems or a disability that limits daily activity. As well as that, at least 11% of the local population provide unpaid care to family, friends and/or neighbours.

"Therefore, it is vital that the Council consult, engage and receive feedback so that we can provide efficient and effective services that meet the need of our diverse and ever changing community.

"Our next session is tomorrow (Thursday) in Enniskillen Town Hall at 4pm and everybody is welcome, so come along and have your say." - Ends/Críoch
