Published: 15 February, 2016
Sinn Féin Councillor, John Feely, has welcomed the announcement from Minister for Education John O'Dowd that £4.9 million has been awarded to two Enniskillen schools.
Mr Feely said:
"This funding has been allocated as part of the school enhancement programme which is a capital-build programme, targeted to meet immediate and pressing needs in schools.
"A total of £35 million in spending has been approved by my party colleague, John O'Dowd, for investment in schools across the north.
"A total of £3.8 million has been awarded to Erne Integrated College and £1.1 million has been awarded to Mount Lourdes.
"This funding will ensure better facilities will be provided which will create an improved working environment for both staff and students in these schools.
"This is great news for two of our local schools and I welcome this investment in our young people."
