Sinn Féin Councillors Support Libraries Day

Sinn Féin Councillors Coyle & Feely with messages to support Libraries Day
Sinn Féin Councillors Debbie Coyle and John Feely have shown their support for Libraries Day today and have welcomed the continued commitment of DCAL Minister Carál Ní Chuilín to maintain library services.
Councillor Feely stated:
"Libraries are an essential part of local communities and provide a range of services that cannot be replicated by other providers.
"Local libraries are crucial for education and learning as well as being important points of social contact.
"As a rural Councillor, I acknowledge the invaluable contribution that the mobile library makes to rural communities."
Councillor Coyle added:
"Apart from books, libraries have services such as computer suites and heritage research services to mention but a few, and is used by all age groups and sections of the community.
"We all have a role to play in protecting library services to ensure their long term future."
