Published: 6 June, 2015
Sinn Féin MLA Seán Lynch has spoken of his sadness at the death of former Sinn Féin Councillor Paul Corrigan and expresses his condolences at this time.
Mr Lynch said;
"I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of Paul Corrigan.
"I extend my sincere condolences to his wife, Patricia, children, Mary, Ciaran and Enda and his extended family, at this sad time."
"Paul was a prominent figure in politics in Fermanagh, serving as a Sinn Féin councillor for two terms between 1985 to 1993.
"As well as being a loving husband, father and grandfather, Paul will also be remembered as being the first Sinn Féin chairperson of Fermanagh District Council and as being a committed public representative. All in which he took pride.
"I have known Paul for over 30 years, all through the Republican struggle. He was a keen supporter of the peace process and I have very fond memories of him.
"His passing is not only a loss to his family and friends but to Sinn Féin, and republicans, locally. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam" ENDS
