Gerry Adams to address Roslea on Easter Sunday

Sinn Féin MP Michelle Gildernew was the main speaker at the party's Easter Commemoration in the Assembly on Tuesday. At the event Ms.Gildernew also revealed the plans for Easter Commemorations locally.

Speaking at the event Ms Gildernew said,

"Easter Sunday is the most sacred date in the republican calendar, when Ireland's patriot dead are remembered with pride across the country and throughout the world.

"The belief in social equality, economic and political freedom, and that all the people of this island should benefit from the labour of this island are the reasons that Sinn Féin exists.

"Our determination and success in achieving these are the reason we have over 10 thousand members across this island at present.

The Fermanagh and South Tyrone MP continued,

"Therefore I am delighted to announce that our leader, Gerry Adams will be joining me in Roslea on Easter Sunday, as the main speaker at our County Annual Easter Commemoration.

"Proceedings begin at 2pm and with one short year to go until the centenary of the Easter Rising and with preparations well under way, it's time for all republicans to come together, in comradeship, solidarity and unity to remember the heroes of 1916." ENDS
