Gildernew expresses sympathy after Fermanagh road death
Published: 27 December, 2014
Sinn Féin MP Michelle Gildernew has expressed her shock and sympathy after a man was killed in a car crash in Fermanagh.
Speaking after 37 year old Dan Morris was killed in a collision between Brookeborough and Fivemiletown on Friday, the Fermanagh/South Tyrone MP said;
"This is a terrible tragedy and has shocked the local community. It is all the more tragic coming so soon after Christmas.
"I knew Dan Morris and his family personally and was shocked and saddened to hear of his death. He was a well known solicitor and was highly respected by everyone who knew him.
"My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to his wife, Aine, and their four children; Michael, Ciarán, Eoin and Óisin for their loss.
"It's not the first time the family have experienced tragedy and Dan himself lost his father at a young age.
"He had recently moved to Brookeborough from Enniskillen and I'm sure the communities in both towns will rally round to support the Morris and O'Connor families at this difficult time."
