Sinn Fein councillor Tommy Maguire has said he is deeply saddened by the death of Belleek man, Tom Cullen.
The Enniskillen town Councilor says,
"I have known Tom for several years and his passion, enthusiasm and devotion to the Irish language and Irish culture always inspired me. He was not only a fellow gaeilgeoir but he was a colleague and a friend.
"He contributed so much to the GAA, as a member of County Committee and serving as Fermanagh Ulster Council representative. Equally, the people of Fermanagh will be eternally indebted to Tom for his contribution to the Irish language whilst holding the position of Oifigeach Cultúra & Gaeilge.
"Without his commitment, the Irish language and culture in Fermanagh would be diminishing.
"My, thoughts and prayers, and those of my party colleagues in Fermanagh Sinn Fein, are with his family on this sad occasion.
Go ndéana Dia trocaire ar a anam uasal Gaelach." ENDS
