Community angered at recent activity in Kinawley - Doherty
Published: 10 October, 2014
Sinn Féin Erne West Councillor, Barry Doherty has condemned the recent suspicious activity in the Kinawley area.
Speaking from Kinawley, Doherty says;
"Over the last number of days the community has been unsettled by rumour and speculation.
"If as it seems a credible threat has been detected and prevented then this has to be welcomed.
"If it is the work of so called dissident republicans then I would remind them that this community has moved on and that there is no support, in fact considerable anger, that the community has been inconvenienced greatly.
They have no agenda or no chance of success and no option but to end their activities immediately."
The PSNI are continuing their investigation, which is now in its third day.
